Dreamy Bookshop. I want to live at this idyllic bookshop in Tuscany.

Future Predictions. What the future—specifically, 2024—looked like in 1974. Some predictions came true, and others, not so much, but this is all-in-all fascinating.

Nostalgic Artifacts. These photos of vintage cassette tapes are such a fun nostalgia jolt.

Injury Indicator. A waxy, glassy, shiny forehead is incorrectly associated with a 'glow,' which it is not; it is the sign of injury.

Importance of Dead Skin. Dead skin cells serve an important biological purpose as part of the all-important skin barrier and store Natural Moisturizing Factors.

Pores Significance. Pores are outgoing channels for sebum and sweat, the skin's natural highlighter-slash-moisturizer and the body’s temperature regulator, respectively.

Glory of Glass Skin. The aesthetically inclined have been glorifying glass skin for a while, since 2017 at least—long enough that the K-beauty creation is no longer a beauty trend but a beauty standard.

Glass Skin Trend. The trend of glass skin, as claimed by a PR email, is still prevalent, with over one billion Google search results.

Desire for Acceptance. I wanted to be perfectly, evenly tan like the girls in Hawaiian Tropic ads; as softly approachable as the girls in those (really creepy in retrospect) Love’s Baby Soft ads.

Clever Drying Rack. This wall mounted clothes drying rack is one of the cleverest things I’ve seen in a while.

Utility Cart for Bar. I’d use this utility cart to set up a bar, which is a vague goal of mine.

Aesthetically Pleasing Dish. A classic Dansk casserole dish that’s just really aesthetically pleasing.

Old-School Side Table. An old-school telephone table that would work great as a sofa side table.

Marked Down Table Lamp. I’m seriously considering going for this table lamp now that it’s marked down.

Utility Stool. A cute little utility stool for the kitchen or wherever.

Cheery Dining Table. I need a new dining table rather urgently, and I’ve had my eye on this one for a while now. The bright legs make it so cheery.

Modern Bed Design. This bed—inspired by early 20th-century iron bedsteads—looks so modern in blue.

Exciting Sale. None of what’s on offer is especially cheap, which is why this sale is so exciting.

Perfect Color Match. This blue/green floral quilt would be perfect for my bedroom, as I have a large photograph in those shades hanging on the wall.

Makeup Removal. This Bioderma micellar water gets all your makeup off, and doesn&#8217;t dry out skin in the process.

Hand Sanitizer. It seems like a good idea to travel with hand sanitizer again, and this one has the most delightful (and relaxing) lavender scent.

Travel Brush. A diminutive travel brush that detangles so gently.

Makeup Setting Spray. Urban Decay All Nighter is maybe the best makeup-setting spray I&#8217;ve tried.

Miniature Preferences. I just really like a good mini, like this Sol De Janeiro body wash, which has the best caramel-ish scent.

Wrinkle Release. This Downy Wrinkle Release, which I now employ on suitcase-wrinkled clothes instead of a steamer.

Sunscreen Tint. It has the perfect tint for my skin tone.

Tinted Balm. This tinted lip balm isn&#8217;t technically a mini, but it&#8217;s pretty diminutive, and imparts a nice hit of sheer color.

Travel Razor. This Gillete Venus mini is just the cutest.

Favorite Mascara. Milk Makeup&#8217;s Kush mascara volumizes like nobody&#8217;s business and is my favorite mascara of the moment by far.

Perception Drift. DeFino states, 'When a particular beauty trend or beauty standard becomes the norm, it can affect our perception of ourselves,' a phenomenon known as 'perception drift.'

Dollcore Aesthetic. DeFino discusses the 'dollcore' aesthetic in beauty and its implications, appearing in an article for Highsnobiety.

Clinically Proven Warning. Sara Radin warns, 'Don’t fall for clinically proven beauty products,' highlighting that the medicalisation of beauty standards can promote unattainable ideals.

Naomi Watts' Book. Naomi Watts is writing a book: Dare I Say It: Everything I Wish I’d Known About Menopause.

Spill-Proof Containers. After much trial and error, I have determined that these silicone containers are the best for transporting products that don’t come in a mini size.

Portable Fan Importance. When I was in Spain last summer it was dreadfully hot, and I bought a fan like this one from a tourist kiosk, and it really makes a difference.

Effective Mini Sunscreen. I love a travel-sized beauty product, especially when it's my favorite, lightly tinted sunscreen, which provides just enough coverage to make it a nice alternative to foundation when it's hot out.
